 AdBlue is used in a process called selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen from the exhaust of diesel engine vehicles. it is a 32.5% solution of high-purity urea. SCR systems are sensitive to potential chemical impurities in the urea solution; therefore, it is essential to maintain high standards of AdBlue quality according to the ISO 22241 standard. Many companies and individuals trying to reduce the enormous cost Adblue adds to the running of their truck have tried buying cheaper AdBlue from resellers. In many cases the resellers are diluting the substance which can lead to far more expensive consequences. AdBlue have announced that they will not offer warranty if the operator has failed to use genuine AdBlue, or if the substance has been diluted.
